About 

Nano4-Ultracoat® is a new water-based, ultra-hydrophobic nanotechnology coating product. Following the application of the product and upon completion of the curing process (24 hours), a thin layer of 500 nm of SiO2 (silicon dioxide) seals the protected area.  

 

THE UNIQUE QUALITIES OF THE PRODUCT:

 

​Prevents oil/water penetration (ISO 4920 2/ rating 90-100, ISO 14419 rating 5) on fabric, wood and stone and so creates an inhospitable environment for microorganisms by depriving them of moisture and food. Due to the absence of water, AATCC 100 standards can be achieved in a natural way with no use of biocides. By its ultra-hydrophobic effect, water is concentrated on the surface at an optimum level, leaving a maximum of dry areas, where a high natural death rate of germs thriving in humidity (e.g. pseudomonas aeruginosa, proteus sp., klebsiella sp., acinetobacter sp. and stenotrophomonas maltophilia) is achieved. Waterproofing and easy removal of stains and all types of dirt deposits on the absorbent surfaces. Humidity, coffee, ketchup, wine, oil, syrup, sauces and other hot or cold liquids are easily removed when a surface is protected with Nano4-Ultracoat®.

PARTICULARLY SUITABLE FOR OUTDOORS:

​

Protects stone and concrete façades, monuments or infrastructure against heavy corrosion by repelling bacteria and water. Furthermore, it provides an extremely high level of protection against soiling and moss growth. Protected surfaces can be washed without the use of cleaning agents.

CONTACT ANGLE:

 

Drop ultra-hydrophobic contact angle of the surface is 160°. 

Whether you want to stay dry in the rain or be protected against spots by accidents of the daily life, you can always rely on Nano4-Ultracoat®.

 

Nano4-Ultracoat® does not affect the look, feel or breathability of the coated surface.

 

Nano4-Ultracoat® covers every porous surface with an invisible, non-adhesive coating. In effect, dry dirt no longer clings to the surface. Damp dirt is no longer absorbed on the porous surface either.
 

Humidity, water, coffee, ketchup, wine, coffee, oil, syrup, sauces and other hot or cold liquids are easily removed from porous surfaces when protected by Nano4-Ultracoat®. Just dab the surface with an absorbent cloth dampened with Nano4-Ultracoat® and the wet spots will vanish. The porous surface goes back to its original state.

  

Nano4-Ultracoat® has no effect on the skin.

Application Method

  •  Clean the fabric before applying Nano4-Ultracoat® or else dirt and existing stains will be blocked in.

  •  Spray the fabric with Nano4-Ultracoat® at a distance of 15 cm from the surface and evenly apply Nano4-Ultracoat® onto the surface you wish to protect. After applying Nano4-Ultracoat®, it takes 24 hours (at 20 °C) to be fully cured. The time required for curing may vary depending on ambient temperatures.  If you want to reduce curing time, you can heat it up: 170 °C 1-2min, 100 °C - 4 min, 60 °C - 10 min.

  •   Alternatively, fabric can be protected by dipping or submerging it into Nano4-Ultracoat®

Nano4-Ultracoat all

Duration of Protection:

15-20 washings (tumble drying required) / 3500 hours artificial weathering according to 11507 A (5-6 years in open space under European weather conditions), provided that the application of Nano4-Ultracoat® is done as per instructions.

Consumption:

The amount of product needed each time depends on the method of application and the porous of the surface. In any  case  the consumption will be between 30ml/m2 and 200ml/m2. This means that 1 liter can cover the surface of 5m2 to 33m2. We recommend to test each type of surface first to determine the absorption of the surface. An easy test to calculate the absorption of the surface is to wet 1m2 of the surface by using normal water. By this way you can see what is the exactly consumption for each surface.
